West Main Colonial
This couple with two teenaged daughters had loved their kitchen when they first moved into their house 20 years ago, but now the cracked concrete counters and broken cabinets needed an overhaul. Part of the great room where the family spent most of their time, we refined the kitchen’s layout with features the couple had always dreamed of: open shelving, quartz counters, an island cooktop with a recessed vent hood, and more storage. We enclosed a built-in bookcase near the entry as a new pantry, and added a place to catch mail. We refreshed the rest of the room, updated the electrical, and installed a split unit which added much-needed air-conditioning. Now the family can choose to sit at the new bar to chat with the cook, sit at the dining table to finish homework, or on the new bespoke sectional for family movie night.
