I-Park Event Barn
Tucked away in the beautiful woods of East Haddam sits a barn we transformed for I-Park, an artist-in-residence retreat where creators come to find their spark. We took this charming rustic structure and reimagined it as a space that wears many hats throughout the day. In the morning, it’s a cozy library and workspace where artists curl up with books or chat over coffee. Come evening, it transforms into either a performance space complete with stage lighting and comfortable seating, or a warm dining area where donors and artists break bread together. We also opened up access to a loft space upstairs, giving artists a quiet nook when they need some alone time with their thoughts. Our goal was simple: create a place where people connect, ideas flow, and community happens naturally. We kept all the character and soul of the original barn while making it work harder for everyone who uses it. It’s become this wonderful hub where artists from all disciplines cross paths, share their work, and build the relationships that make I-Park such a special place.
